Essential Guitar Lessons Including Basic Music Theory, Keyboard & Songwriting
The importance for guitar players (as well as players of any musical instrument) to understand basic music theory cannot be overstated. It is virtually impossible to make certain advancements without this knowledge. While some musicians demonstrate a decided degree of creativity and musical sophistication without possessing a clear understanding of music theory, they are the exception rather than the rule. After more than four decades of playing, studying, songwriting and teaching music, I am more convinced than ever that every guitarist should learn basic music theory, the theory of chord construction, scales and basic keyboard. Even those relatively few, naturally gifted musicians, who possess an intuitive talent can enhance their abilities with this knowledge.
Unfortunately, because beginners are generally very anxious to get on with playing songs, all too often they neglect to learn basic music theory, or even proper guitar technique. This negligence ultimately inhibits their ability to play—at least correctly—the very songs they are so anxious play in the first place. It also inhibits their ability to play by ear, to jam with others, and to write their own songs. Thus, learning basic music theory, chord construction and proper technique must not be averted.
To better facilitate the learning of music theory and chord construction it is extremely important to have at least a basic understanding of the keyboard. One need not master the keyboard, but understanding its rudimentary construction makes understanding scales and chord structures easier and, thus, learning the guitar easier. Because students are better motivated if they learn songs early in their musical education, several songs are interspersed throughout the various lessons with a rather large selection of songs in various genres and formats.
Beyond guitar chords and scales, the student receives lessons in basic music theory, the theory of chord construction, tablature, notation, playing by ear, finger picking, double stops, songwriting technique and more.

The Wise Shall Understand Although certain OT prophets addressed many of these same events, none of them revealed the whole picture, thereby leaving many details hidden. When the prophet Daniel asked the Lord for further clarification and to know how it would all end, the Lord commanded him to go his way, “for the words are
closed up and sealed till the time of the end. . . . none of the wicked shall
understand; but the wise shall understand.” It is now the end time and The
Apocalypse of Jesus Christ, The Revelation, has been given that the wise should
understand. The current state of the world has many in distress. The
persistent political instability in the Middle-East, threats of nuclear war, a
failing global economy with a strong push for a one-world government, the
collective decay of morals, social unrest and rebellious peoples in many
countries, as well as increased natural disasters have many people, worldwide,
in great consternation, concerned for the world’s future. But these are all
expected scenarios to those who understand these times—the last days before our
Lord Jesus returns to earth.

Critiques in the Practical Theology of 21st Century Western Christendom
Knowledge abounds within the Western
Evangelical Christian
churches. Many parishioners actively study
their Bibles, memorizing numerous
applicable passages of interest. They listen intently to the pastor’s sermon
and many attend Sunday school to learn even more.

To Determine the Author's Intent The Theologian’s Approach
The accurate
interpretation of Scripture is
critical. Faulty interpretation leads to a faulty theology, which leads to
faulty
Bible interpretation, or hermeneutics, is the scientific process of understanding the original, plain meaning of the text. This requires knowledge of the historical context in which the author wrote: the language, the culture, and any theological matters that might be of concern. As such, understanding the author’s intent, the literal meaning in common language, is our goal. Once we have this knowledge we can make personal application, if it is applicable. Here, we learn the methods theologians use to arrive at the author’s intent.

The Neglected Glory of Man Male and Female Created He Them Section One, Man’s Glory God created man (male and female) in his image; however devalued status of women has been pervasive in virtually all culture but the Judeo-Christian cultures of revelation. Even then, one of the first signs of moral decay within a society is the devalued status of women. The further a culture gets from God the less value it places on the woman until at last she is routinely humiliated and mistreated. This may take place in a number of ways: financial deprivation, physical attacks, psychological abuse and even (as was the case in the antediluvian word, and is once again the case in modern Western civilization), being swindled. This ungodly devalued status of the woman is against everything Scripture teaches about mankind; for man (male and female) is created in the image of God. To dishonor either entity of this union is an offense to our Creator.
Second Two, Divine Attributes Here we learn more of God, who he is, how mankind is created in his image, what responsibilities we have with this status. The gospel of redemption is clearly set forth in both sections.
